Lymphatic Fluid

Lumph fluid is thicker and moves more slowly than blood.  It travels along a network of collection vessels through the lymph nodes.  These nodes are a one way valve system filtering out anything the body does not want such as bacteria, toxins, infectious organisms and cancer cells.  The lumph fluid is then reabsorbed back into the blood and if not filtered correctly can cause Lymphoedema, a condition manifesting from the stagnation of an abnormal amount of protein rich fluid.  Lymphatic drainage is a non invasive, painless and very effective therapy for Lymphoedema.
